Muscle Building Fat Loss?

OK, so I get this all the time and I just have to start to let my mind go on this and let the secret out of the bag.

Everyone always tells me they want to look hard and “ripped”.  I immediately have to ask them their current weight and body fat.  Then their goal weight and body fat percentage.

Then I proceed to ask the most important question.  What is your “PRIMARY MOTIVATING GOAL”?

Is it Fat Loss, Muscle Building or Power, Strength and Size?

Every guy I meet wants to be bigger and leaner.

Every woman I work with wants to eat more calories and get leaner.

Here comes the kicker.  Its the part of this process that never ceases to amaze me.

I tell them that their goal weight is 10-15 lbs too heavy.

I tell the guys they need to focus on fat loss, the muscle will stay and possibly even grow during the process with an intelligent nutrition program.

I tell the girls they need to eat to feed the lean machine, not the fat.  That means the starvation diets of 800 calories a day are too low to enjoy life and keep hard earned sexy lean bodies and eating 2700 calories is way too much, even for most guys trying to get “ripped”.

Everybody battles me on this one,but believe me, you need to focus on feeding the machine, not the fat.

Guys get ripped and look bigger instantly.

Girls, eat more often, but less in general and focus on fat loss for optimal results.

Just thought you'd like to know this.

Dave (my husband) and I are boating today and I asked him to put lotion on my back and he said. “Boy, you really have lost weight.”
